Recycling Services in Philadelphia
Family Owned Dumpster Rental Company Serving Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Chester, & Montgomery Counties
As one of the area’s leading waste management companies, Geppert Recycling understands the importance of creating a more sustainable future. That’s why we make recycling one of our main goals throughout our waste management process. We’re committed to diverting as much of your recyclable construction and demolition materials away from landfills as possible through our recycling services in Philadelphia. As one of Philadelphia’s top dumpster rental companies on Google, we’re committed to providing the highest standards of service for all of our customers’ waste management needs.
Our Recycling Process
We typically receive commercial and residential waste in one of three ways: from a roll off dumpster rental that we deliver and pick up; from a dumpster bag pickup; or when customers deposit waste at our transfer station. We primarily handle construction and demolition waste, also known as C&C waste or C&C debris. Once we have the waste, the sorting process can begin. Our team will sort any recyclable materials into the appropriate bins for further processing.
Items We Recycle at our Philadelphia Scrap Yard Facility
We make a point of recycling as much of your waste stream as possible. While there are some materials that cannot be recycled, we strive to reduce the volume of waste that is sent to landfills by recovering as much recyclable material we can find. Common recyclables we process include:
- Scrap metal
- Cardboard
- Wood
- Concrete
- Stone
- Plastic
It’s important to note that not all of these materials can be recycled if they are contaminated or otherwise compromised. For example, any concrete that has wood embedded in it can’t be reused. Plastic can also be contaminated, which would make it unsafe for future use. We look for these types of materials and separate them from the rest to be sent to a landfill or other disposal site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What kind of recycling services do you offer?
DGR Recycling is proud to recycle salvageable materials gathered through our waste management services. We offer roll off dumpster rentals, which are filled by our customers and then picked up by our team. Once the dumpster has been emptied at either our transfer station or another facility, we inspect the material for recyclable items. These materials are then processed for another use. We also recycle waste from dumpster bag pickups and from drop offs to our transfer station.
Q. Are there any materials you do not accept for waste disposal or recycling?
As with our dumpster rentals, dumpster bag pick ups, and transfer station drop offs, we cannot accept any hazardous materials. These can include solvents, paint, used motor oil, batteries, and other hazardous chemicals. We also cannot accept biomedical or infectious waste, electronics like microwaves and televisions, and fluorescent tubes. This list is not exhaustive, so please contact us if you have any questions about our recycling services in Philadelphia.
Q. How can I ensure my materials are being recycled properly?
Geppert Recycling is committed to responsible and ethical recycling practices. We take great care in sorting through the material that has been gathered, making sure only recyclable items are sent for further processing. Our team also follows all federal, state, and local regulations in order to ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
